He was born on 3 August 1974 in Irkutsk. In 1995 he graduated from Irkutsk Theatre College (department of acting in drama theatre). In 1998 he founded the theatre-studio "Space of Play" in Irkutsk. In the same year he entered Shchukin Theatre College of Higher education as an external student to study in the department of drama theatre directing. Since 1999 till 2001 he worked as professor of acting in Irkutsk Theatre College, with the group of students taught by Vyacheslav Kokorin. In 2001 he works as a director of the Centre of New Play "Theatre. doc".
His plays: DREAMS (1999), THE CITY WHERE I AM (2000), ST. VALENTINE'S DAY (2001), KISLOROD (2002), EXISTENCE №2 (2004), JULY (2006) became landmark events in the history of the "new drama" artistic movement. Vyrypaev's plays are staged in many countries. He won such prestigious Russian awards as “Triumph” (young creative people section, 2004), "Golden Mask" (2004, for the stage production of KISLOROD), the Grand Prix of the "New Drama" festival (2005, for the stage-production of EXISTENCE №2). In 2005 he founded the creative projects agency “Movement Kislorod”).
Since April of 2013 he has been the artistic director of the theatre "Praktika".
